  Informal Coffees at parent volunteered homes to educate the parent and community at large about PiE, its mission, goals, and benchmarking studies.
• May Fete Town Fair (May 2)
  
  An annual parade followed by a Town Fair sponsored and benefitting PiE.   
• August, 2009 – Italian Street Painting Festival at the Palo Alto Festival of the Arts
  

  Palo Alto Festival of Arts will be held in August 2009. During the festival, Tasso Street is closed off for the Italian Street Painting Festival. Professional, amateur and student artists all participate in this exciting event to “paint” large pictures on the pavement with colored chalk. There is also a special section set aside for young artists aged 2-12 to paint 2’ x 2’ squares.

  Palo Alto Partners in Education (PiE) is the proud organizer for the Italian Street Painting Festival. The proceeds raised from this event are used to support teacher grants and the arts in the Palo Alto Unified School District.
