Realtor Campaign donations will fund ½ of all PiE Teacher Grants!
The teacher grant program was established in 1987 by Partners in Education's
predecessor organization, Palo Alto Foundation for Education. Over $1
million has been awarded in 40 rounds of teacher grants. The foundation
usually collects grant applications in January and May, making grants in
February and June respectively. This round of awards usually ranges from
$250 to $3,000, with exceptions for especially noteworthy projects. Projects
promote curricular and program enhancements in areas such as special
education, social studies, literacy, music, technology, art, science,
mathematics, film and journalism. In 2008-2009, the program awarded
approximately $100,000 to 58 different projects.
