Our Programs
Young 5 Program

 

 

For the Young Five program in 2011-12, generous donations from parents and community members have provided $20,790, which is used in our classrooms to:

 

- Fund 100% of Music & Movement Program to help teach pre-K’s a wide variety of gross motor and social skills

- Pay for 100% of Annual Theatre Trip to give kids early exposure to the arts

- Pay for 100% of our Science Excursions to Hidden Villa and Star Lab, invaluable hands-on learning enrichment

- And fund 25% of manipulatives and materials for hands-on experiences related to art, science, and math

 

“The PIE funding for Young Fives is invaluable as it provides us with the support to offer the realia (teaching aides to help children experience the reality of what they are learning) opportunities so crucial to young children’s development and learning. Additionally, it is an appropriate and wonderful time for parents to begin the tradition of giving to PIE in support of their children’s education.”
