Leveled Books for All K-2 Classrooms
Barron Park
We noticed as a team that a higher percentage of students are at grade level! As a reading specialist, I noticed that not only are more students at grade level, but a stronger use of strategies and problem solving at point of difficulty. I also notice this year in particular both a PASSION for reading and stronger strategy use and problem solving ability at point of difficulty during my reading sessions. Kids are saying to me, "We just LOVE reading!"

Digital Reference Library
Gunn High School
One particular successful story I will share involves the ESl classes who use these digital resources. The virtual reference resources we purchased have built-in translation and recorded voice features. The ESl students have found these tools extremely helpful when having to tackle content in a language other than their own.

Sharing Instructional Practices
District Office

Third Grade Leveled Literacy Program
Duveneck
The results of the project were that all except one student reached grade-level reading benchmarks at the end of the year. Considering that all fifteen struggling 3rd and 4th graders entered the year reading and writing below grade level, this result is near to miraculous.
