Our Programs
Fairmeadow Elementary School

 

 

For the 2011-2012 school year, generous donations from parents and community members have allowed PiE to provide $166,324 for use at Fairmeadow. During this school year, these funds:

 

- Pay for more than two thirds of the general classroom aide time, so that all classrooms receive multiple hours of vital classroom aide time weekly. Aides are an important part of the classroom experience at Fairmeadow

- Fund a reading specialist, Katherine Scott, to support the literacy needs of identified students

- Fund 100% of Spectra Art at Fairmeadow, so that all students receive art instruction every other week, to foster creativity and confidence

- Pay for 100% of the science lab instructor, Kendra Hornbostel, giving all students the opportunity to experience hands-on science experiments

- Support teachers in the classroom with a technology specialist who helps all teachers better use the smart boards, iPods and our new iPad labs to interest and engage all students at Fairmeadow.
