Our Programs
El Carmelo Elementary School

 

 

For the 2011-2012 school year, support from parents and community members have allowed PiE to provide $136,623 for use at El Carmelo. During this school year, the funds:

 

- Pay for 100% the general classroom aide time, so that all classrooms get multiple hours of vital classroom aide time weekly. Hours are greatest at the kinder level to help the youngest students grow accustomed to their new learning community. Aides are an integral part of the El Carmelo community and benefit all kids at school, and are entirely funded through PiE donations.

- Fund Spectra Art, so that all children can have access to regular art instruction. Without PiE dollars, kids might be devoid in that whole area of learning and creativity

- Pay for 100% of the supplemental science program for kids
