Our Programs
Community Support
These days, in California, public funding alone cannot provide the
high quality education that many want for this generation of children. To maintain
and build upon the academic excellence that draws families to our neighborhoods and
keeps property values high, we depend on parents but also on
philanthropists and community-minded individuals who might not currently have
children enrolled in Palo Alto Unified schools. Grandparents, parents of PAUSD
alumni students, neighbors, civic-minded individuals, and local small businesses and
foundations all helped PiE achieve its $3.4 million gift last year. In fact,
non-parent gifts comprised 27% of donations last year—and with budgets declining and
enrollment growing, we need your help more than ever this year.
Our Community
Direct Appeal allows non-parent community members to help fund our Schools
Campaign and Teacher
Grants. Corporate sponsors help by providing matching gifts. And local
foundations and businesses can become PiE
Business Partners.
A donation to
PiE represents both an investment in the future of the children of Palo
Alto, and an affirmation of the core community value of an outstanding public
education.
