Director – Development-Schools: Susan Bailey
Susan Bailey has been a PiE board member since its inception in April 2005, serving as its initial president for three years. Susan is an aerospace engineer who left Lockheed Martin in 2002 after fifteen years, having most recently served as the Chief Engineer for an Air Force satellite program.
She is currently on the PiE Development Committee working on Leadership Circle efforts. She also served as a key member of the PiE Major Donor Committee in 2004-5. She also served as a board member for the Friends of the Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo, on the Addison PTA, and the Addison and Jordan Site Councils. She initiated the Addison Noon Science program, and enjoys being a Reading Tutor and Computer Lab volunteer, co-chairing the Addison Auction and coordinating the Jordan Science Fair. In her spare time, she enjoys taking dance classes and spending time with her family.
Susan has a daughter starting at Jordan Middle School and a son starting at Palo Alto High School. She has degrees from MIT and Stanford University.
