Kathy Schroeder, Executive Director

 

A Palo Alto resident since receiving her MBA at Stanford, Kathy has worked as a PAUSD volunteer on parcel tax, bond, and school board campaigns, as well as other local initiatives. In addition, Kathy has been a multi-year president of the JLS and Ohlone PTA’s as well as of the Gunn Band and Orchestra Boosters. Previously, she consulted professionally for EdSource, a non-profit organization that publishes non-partisan information about California K-14 public education.

 

Kathy also co-authored the book Inside Intuit: How the Makers of Quicken Defeated Microsoft and Revolutionized an Entire Industry, published by Harvard Business Press. She has worked in the software industry in marketing, project management, and business development. Kathy is married and has two children, one who has graduated from high school and one who is a sophomore at Gunn.
