Board of Directors

 

Director – Finance & Administration: Karen French Neuman

 

Since moving to Palo Alto in 2002 with her husband and two children, Karen French Neuman has been actively volunteering at Walter Hays and Jordan. She has served on the PTA Board at Walter Hays Elementary as treasurer for two years and secretary for two years. Since fall 2010 Karen has served as the Executive Vice President of the Jordan PTA and sits on the Jordan Site Council as the PTA representative. Previously she served as secretary for the Jordan PTA for two years. Karen serves as treasurer for a Girl Scout Troop and campaign treasurer for a Palo Alto city council member. Prior to moving to Palo Alto, Karen served on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers, Big Sisters and was treasurer of her Las Madres group.

 

Karen is currently working part-time with Ergo Works, Inc., a Palo Alto company. A certified public accountant (inactive) that spent twelve years in public accounting, primarily as an auditor, Karen began working in tax and audit with Hood and Strong here in Palo Alto. After five years she changed firms and worked with Deloitte and Touche in San Jose as an audit manager and senior manager. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Accountancy.
