Board of Directors
Director – Development-Community: Hazel Watson
Hazel Watson has been involved with PiE since 2005, first as a key member of the Elementary Direct Appeal Team, then as the Vice-President of Development for three years. This year, she will serve on the Community Team, working to improve community fundraising efforts. Professionally, Hazel worked at the University Bristol School of Veterinary Science and as a high school science teacher. The family moved from Bristol, UK to Palo Alto more than 10 years ago.
Hazel’s volunteer activities include serving as the PTA President for Fairmeadow Elementary School and as the Co-Vice President of Leadership for the Palo Alto Council of PTAs. She also volunteers at her childrens' schools in a variety of capacities including working in the science lab, library, and as a part of the JLS Connections program.
Hazel has a BS in Applied Biological Sciences from the University of the West of England and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University Bristol, UK. Hazel has two boys, one at Gunn High School and one at JLS Middle School.
