Board of Directors

 

Vice President Development – Schools: Diana Walsh

 

Diana worked as a journalist for 20 years and was most recently a metro reporter for The San Francisco Chronicle. During her career, she covered several beats, including City Hall and elementary and secondary education, winning several journalism awards. She has been an active volunteer at Palo Alto schools. Among other things, she served on the site council at Jordan Middle School and as the school chair for Partners in Education representative at Addison Elementary School.

 

She has also written articles as part of the community outreach program of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Previously, she was the Communications Director for the California Democratic Party and worked in the news departments of two local television stations. Diana also served as a member of the Regional Selection Panel for the White House Fellows program.

 

Diana received her BA in International Economics from UC Berkeley. She and her husband Kent have three children: a son at Jordan Middle School, a daughter at Palo Alto High School and a daughter who recently graduated from Paly.
