Director &nash; Development - Community: Micaela Presti

 

Micaela Presti  moved to Stanford from San Francisco in 2000.   She began parent volunteering when her twin boys were in the Young Fives program and has not stopped since.  Micaela has held many PTA roles at Escondido and Jordan, including Co-President at Escondido and Parent Education co-VP at Jordan.  Additionally, she served as the Health and Safety co-VP on PTAC for 2009-2011, working on anti-bullying and SEL programs and the introduction of Developmental Assets to our schools and community.  She is a parent representative on the Climate Committee at Jordan and is on the Site Council.  She has served as the PiE co-chair at Jordan for the last two years.

 

Micaela’s last professional position was at the UCSF/Mt. Zion Cancer Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Head and Neck Surgery and Clinical Instructor for the Department of Nursing. She has undergraduate degrees from UCD and UCSF and a MS degree from UCSF School of Nursing. Her boys are students at Jordan.
