Board of Directors

 

Director – Development - Schools: Meredith Ackley

 

Since moving to the Peninsula in 1999, Meredith has been active in the nonprofit community. She was a founding board member of Reading Partners, formerly YES Reading, a program that provides children from low-income communities who are struggling with reading one-on-one tutoring. She currently sits on their regional Silicon Valley Board. Most recently, she worked as a Program Director for My New Red Shoes running both their outreach programs and student service training. At Addison Elementary, Meredith currently serves at the PTA Historian and was a member of the Nominating Committee. For the last two years, Meredith served as one of the Addison PiE representatives.

 

Before working with the nonprofit sector, Meredith’s career was in marketing at start-ups in the Silicon Valley and prior to that in advertising.  Meredith holds a BA in Sociology and Communications from UC Davis and an MA in Communications from USC. Meredith has three daughters, two of whom are at Addison in 5th and 2nd grades and her youngest in preschool.
