Director – Development - Schools: Melissa Anderson

 

In the 4th grade, Melissa Anderson moved with her family to Palo Alto in 1974.  She attended Garland Elementary School, Jordan Middle School and Palo Alto High School.  Melissa returned to Palo Alto with her husband, Howard Look, in 2001. Currently, they have a sophomore son at Paly and 6th grade boy/girl twins at Jordan and Castilleja, respectively.  She received a BS in Accounting from Golden Gate University.

 

Melissa has been an active classroom volunteer at Walter Hays and has served in a number of volunteer leadership positions including co-president of the PTA and co-chair of the Site Council.  This year, she was part of the PiE effort at both Walter Hays and Paly.  She also currently serves as co-parent coordinator for TEAM at Paly.  Previously she served as a school site volunteer coordinator for the Measure A parcel tax campaign in 2005 and co-fundraising chair for the Measure A bond campaign in 2008.  Melissa also does volunteer fundraising and grant writing for the Beechwood School in eastern Menlo Park.  

 

Melissa and her family are actively involved at First Congregational Church and in her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking and genealogy.
