Board of Directors

 

Director – Marketing & Communications: Jane L. Smith

 

Jane L. Smith has been engaged with Palo Alto schools including Parents Nursery School, Young 5’s and Ohlone Elementary. She is an active volunteer for the Ohlone PTA and Ohlone Farm including four years as a room parent, two years as the Staff Appreciation Week Chair, and served on the PTA nominating committee.

 

Jane has held a variety of senior marketing roles at both start-ups and large companies and weathered several “valley” acquisitions: Collabra/Netscape/AOL/TimeWarner and Approach/Lotus/IBM. She currently works as a marketing consultant. Jane is a Girl Scout leader, and also served on the board of Medaka no Gakko, a Japanese culture summer camp. Jane holds an BA in Psychology and minor in Japanese languages from UC Davis.

 

Jane’s husband, Eric Bloom (Gunn ’83), is a History & Social Science teacher at Paly. They have children at Ohlone Elementary and JLS.
