Fundraising Targets
PiE funds to targets that reflect the needs and priorities deemed most impactful by principals, parents, and the PAUSD. A standard practice with education foundations, funding targets allow parent and community donors to better understand how their donations are being spent. Each year, we revisit the funding targets to make sure that they continue to reflect the current needs and priorities of the school community. In addition, in the event of severe cuts from the state, PiE may give principals the flexibility to use some PiE funds to alleviate teacher layoffs.
