Director – Development - Schools: Alli Deeter

 

Alli Deeter has been a PAUSD parent since her oldest child started kindergarten in 2005. Alli has played an active role in volunteering at Nixon on a weekly basis in each of her children's classrooms, in the library and computer lab, and as a fixture on the field trip driving circuit. She has also served as "room mom" for many years in each of her kids' classes, been a PIE grade rep, and coordinated all of Nixon's assemblies for 2 years. In addition, she served on Nixon’s site council, and chaired that committee for a year.

 

Alli graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in political economy, and worked as a litigation consultant for Price Waterhouse after graduation. Quickly realizing that her real passion was to focus on working with people, Alli got her master's degree in psychology from Pepperdine while living in Los Angeles. She continued working in the behavioral sciences at Stanford University when she and her husband returned to the Bay Area, but left her research position in 2000 when their first child was born. She has a sixth grader at Terman Middle School and two children at Nixon Elementary.
